Electrical Safety
Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).  Around 30 of these are fatal! Also Portable electrical appliances are a major cause of fires both in the home and at work. 

A sobering fact:- Over 2,500 people are killed or injured as a result of electrical fires every year!

 
    Electrical installations can be complex and frightening, especially for older people. The cost of rewiring a property can be an expensive undertaking. My consultation service identifies  exactly what does and doesn't need to be to be done in order to be safe and where necessary recommends updates to comply with current regulations. I will make safe any dangerous wiring or fittings, any further recommendations are your responsibility. Truly independent.

Current regulations recommend that domestic installations are inspected and tested after no longer than 10 years, commercial installations between 3 months and 5 years.

Rented property is recommended to be checked every 5 years/change of occupancy.
