Under the scheme, introduced in 2007, anyone selling a home will have to produce a Home Information Pack. It will contain a host of documents, including a survey called a "home condition report", evidence of ownership and details of local authority searches.

Home inspectors are not required to be qualified electricians and the "Home Inspector" should not give technical advice regarding electrical systems.

I offer an independent "Inspection and Testing" service to BS7671 (wiring regulations) which will identify any defects, non-compliance and safety issues.

The resulting certificate will give both you and any prospective purchaser an accurate indication of the condition of your electrical installation.

 

Domestic Visual Inspection from £75.00 +VAT

(visual inspections are only reliable where a current certificate exists)

Periodic Inspection and Testing from £180.00 +VAT

(this covers up to 5 circuits. Extra circuits charged at £16.00 + VAT each)
